Service Writer

As a Service Writer for our company, you will ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with customers in a professional manner to gather all information necessary to create an accurate estimate.
  • Providing customers with a schedule of work, updates, and any changes that may occur.
  • Coordinating with the customer on transportation of their boat
  • Schedule, coordinate and follow up on sub-contractors.
  • Finalize and invoice work orders.
  • Possess high attention to detail.

To ensure the customer has a positive service experience:

  • Provide support for all owner inquiries to assure the customer does not get mishandled.
  • Spend quality time building a relationship with the customer.
  • Know the product well enough to answer characteristic and operational questions regarding the customer’s vessel. This means that candidates must have marine knowledge to sell and explain why repairs are needed.
  • Follow up after work is complete

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience in the marine industry, experience as a Service Writer is preferred but not required.
  • General knowledge of boat engines (inboard and outboard) and systems, including electronics.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Must have a great attitude.
  • Dependability and punctuality.
  • Team player.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Lightspeed EVO is a plus.

Our ideal candidate will have a broad range of knowledge about boats and the boating lifestyle, as well as excellent communication skills and a desire to provide clients with the highest level of care and support throughout the sales process.

Applicants for the yacht broker position should have 2 years minimum experience in powerboat sales and have skills in negotiation, selling to customer needs, building relationships, market knowledge, and more.

Marine Mechanic/Technician/Electronics Installer

We are looking to add an experienced and proficient marine mechanic/technician and/or electronics installer to our service team.  The position is full-time, year-round with paid vacation and benefits. Certifications such as ABYC, Electronics Manufacturer, NMEA, or Engine Manufacturer is a plus. Minimum 5 years experience in marine/yacht service required.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Well skilled in both electrical and electronics installation and service.
  • Able to quickly and correctly diagnose engine and/or systems issues
  • Able to identify effective solutions to correct these problems.
  • Courteous, responsible, and respectful of the high-end boats we are working on.
  • Detail-oriented
  • A team player.

Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record – valid CDL is a plus. We will provide a work truck, uniforms, and specialized tools as needed. We will invest in the right candidate’s future by sending them to school and training.

Yacht Detailers

We are growing and are looking to add more full or part-time detailers to our staff.

This position requires a focus on the quality of services being offered to our clients as well as efficiency. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have experience in detailing yachts –  washing, waxing, and compounding boats. This is a full-time position and has excellent potential for advancement into other areas of our marine service business.
