Chris was born and raised around the Chesapeake, spending extended periods of time boating with his family – on sailboats with his parents and on powerboats with his grandfather. After graduating from college, Chris began what was supposed to be just a summer job selling boats, but what was intended to be a fun summer job turned into much more. He threw himself into the industry learning everything he could about every type of boat. In 2001, Chris opened Intrinsic Yacht & Ship. He began working with a select group of clients, helping them buy and sell their boats many times over. He eventually expanded his office and sales staff to begin offering brokerage sales and service work to his clients. Today boating remains Chris’s favorite pastime, and sportfishing has become his passion. He has participated in countless fishing tournaments around the mid-Atlantic region with tremendous results. With extensive knowledge and experience in and around boats dating back to his childhood, building highly customized company demo boats, and countless hours spent on and around boats, Chris is an excellent choice when it comes to finding the right boat for his buyers. He also excels at helping his sellers effectively market and sell their boats.
Blaine Champlin

Blaine grew up in the marine industry spending summers in Ocean City, MD as a mate when he was a teenager and eventually becoming a captain for now over 25 years. He moved to Florida to be a full-time Captain and through those experiences he created lasting relationships with clients. He moved into sales to help people find what they were after and provide his expert advice on what they need. Blaine says, “building relationships with my clients is my favorite part of the job and finding them what they want is the ultimate goal.” Blaine has fished around the world, including three seasons in Venezuela, and is very knowledgeable about all brands of boats on the market. Blaine will be splitting his time working out of the Annapolis, MD and Ocean City, MD office and is licensed in Florida.
Blake Stephenson

Blake joined the Intrinsic Crew in July 2020 after three years as a Yacht Designer in Annapolis. A native of North Carolina, he grew up on the water boating and fishing, where he quickly found his passion for the boating industry. Blake attended Savannah College of Art and Design, receiving his degree in Industrial and Marine Design. During the summers of his college years, he worked as a marine design and construction intern in North Carolina. After spending time on the design side, Blake decided to take on the role as a Yacht Broker, allowing him to sell boats on a very custom level, ensuring clients are one hundred percent satisfied with their purchase. When Blake is not helping clients find their perfect boat, you can find him fishing or spending time on the water with his wife and their dog, Virginia.
Scott Steffy

Born and raised in Lancaster County, Scott started boating and fishing with his family on the Northern Chesapeake Bay and fishing in Ocean City, Maryland. In the early 90’s he fell in love with offshore fishing and started mating on a 38 foot sport fishing boat. He spent the spring and fall on the Chesapeake Bay and the summers in Ocean City, Maryland. From 1992 until 1995, he freelanced on several different private and charter boats in Ocean City. Scott also worked in the custom home building field during this time. In 1997 he became a full time captain on a 53 foot private fishing boat that traveled up and down the East Coast and the Caribbean. He took a job in 2001 on a 140 motor yacht that divided it’s time between the East Coast, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. At that time, he obtained his STCW-95 certification, as well as SCUBA certification. In 2002, Scott relocated to Ft Pierce, Florida and took a job as a captain on a 57-foot sport fish boat that also fished in the Caribbean and Central America. He also completed his 100 Ton Master’s Licenses through Sea School. After eight years of traveling thousands of miles with different boats, he decided it was time to put down some roots. He once again moved back to Ocean City, started his own company, Atlantic Marine Detailing, began a successful career in Yacht Sales, and recently joined the Intrinsic Sales Team. Scott has two great sons with his wife Missy and is still a freelance captain that loves Offshore fishing.

Captain Eric Blanks has years of experience as a captain fishing up and down the East Coast recreationally and in major tournaments. He has spent countless hours on a wide variety of makes and models of both classic boats and some of today’s most popular boats. He has also been involved in the construction process of many boats, particularly high end, giving him valuable insight that is helpful to both buyers and sellers. You will find Eric at some of the finest marinas in Ocean City, MD.

Jackie brings a wealth of experience and a deep love for the marine industry to her role as Business Manager at Intrinsic Yacht & Ship. After successfully running her family’s business in Annapolis for many years, she joined our team in April 2008 and has since become an integral part of our success story.
Jackie’s extensive experience in public relations and business management made her the perfect fit for the role of Business Manager. Her childhood spent on power and sailboats ignited a passion for the marine industry, making her uniquely qualified to contribute to Intrinsic Yacht & Ship’s growth.
What Jackie values most about her job is the relationships she builds with clients. Particularly, she finds joy in assisting buyers and sellers through the settlement process. Witnessing the excitement of clients taking delivery of their new boats and ensuring a smooth ownership transfer for sellers are the highlights of her days.
Jackie’s unwavering focus is on customer satisfaction. Whether overseeing the meticulous details of boat servicing through our service department or navigating clients through the sales process, she is dedicated to ensuring a positive and seamless experience for every customer.
Having lived in Annapolis since the age of 6, Jackie is deeply connected to the community. We are excited to welcome Tracy Rosensteel, our new Marketing Manager, to the Intrinsic crew. Tracy joins Intrinsic Yacht & Ship after having served capital markets clients for over 22 years on Wall Street and beyond. While much of her career was spent in high pressure environments, Tracy considers her “creative hustles” the initiatives which capture her heart. In 2011, Tracy created, produced, directed and hosted a three-time award-winning travel television series about people around the globe who live their lives in pursuit of their dreams. Originally airing on PBS nationwide, In Pursuit of Passion can be found streaming on Amazon. A spirited entrepreneur, published author and participant on Shark Tank, Tracy has run three of her own small businesses from inception to exit and is especially passionate about creative marketing as defined by business strategy. Having been raised as an avid fly-fisherman, a competitive rower and enthusiastic boater, Tracy is excited to be “back on the water,” channeling her creative spark into growing the Intrinsic Yacht & Ship brand, uniquely inviting our audience to join us on our inspirational journey.
