Originally from Ocean View, Delaware, Matt has spent his entire life on the water. Growing up fishing with his father sparked a lifelong passion that evolved into competitive offshore fishing, professional boat handling, and a career centered around helping others enjoy life on the water.

Matt earned his U.S. Coast Guard 100-Ton Master Captain's License in 2012, the same year he began tournament fishing. Today, he serves as a full-time mate aboard a competitive tournament sportfishing boat, bringing years of firsthand offshore experience and a deep understanding of vessel operation, performance, and the boating lifestyle. His expertise allows him to help clients find the right boat for their needs, whether they're chasing billfish offshore or creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Outside of Intrinsic Yacht & Ship, Matt proudly serves as a firefighter and paramedic with the Washington, D.C. Fire Department. Whether responding to emergencies or guiding clients through the boat-buying process, he approaches every interaction with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to serving others. When he's not working, you'll likely find him offshore tuna and marlin fishing or spending time on the water with his wife and daughter.
